Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Rainfall activity picked up across many parts of Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday. While districts like Bhopal, Indore, and Tikamgarh received heavy showers, some regions remained mostly dry.
The weather department has now issued fresh alerts, warning of more intense rain in the coming days.

Orange Alert (Very Heavy Rain – over 8 inches expected):
Rewa, Mauganj, Sidhi, Singrauli, Maihar, Katni, Umaria, Shahdol, Dindori, and Anuppur
Yellow Alert (Heavy Rain – up to 4.5 inches expected):
Satna, Panna, Sagar, Damoh, Narsinghpur, Jabalpur, Mandla, Balaghat, Seoni, Chhindwara, Pandhurna, Betul, and Narmadapuram
Light Rain Alert:
All districts of Madhya Pradesh may see thunder, lightning, and light rainfall.
On Wednesday, a heavy rain alert was issued for 15 districts, including Jabalpur, Sheopur, Morena, Narmadapuram, Betul, Narsinghpur, Chhindwara, Pandhurna, Sagar, Damoh, Seoni, Mandla, Balaghat, Dindori, and Anuppur. These areas may receive up to 4.5 inches of rainfall within 24 hours. Thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds are also expected.
According to Dr. Divya E. Surendran, senior meteorologist, two cyclonic circulation systems and the monsoon trough are currently active over the state, causing the shift in weather. The rainfall is likely to continue for the next four days, with the possibility of heavy to very heavy rain in several areas.
No rain-related accidents or deaths were reported in the state on Tuesday.
