Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): A 24-year-old woman from Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, has accused a man of raping her under the false promise of marriage.

The incident came to light when the woman went to Gwalior police station and filed a complaint against the accused.

The man raped her and later forced her to have an abortion with the help of his brother-in-law.

According to information, a young man befriended a nursing student and later raped her by falsely promising marriage. He continued to exploit her for a long time.

Eventually, the student became one month pregnant. When she pressured him to marry, the accused sought help from his brother-in-law. Instead of helping, the brother-in-law also raped her and later forced her to have an abortion.

The 24-year-old victim, a resident of Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh, filed a complaint at Hajira police station against the accused and his brother-in-law. She informed the police that she was studying at a nursing college in Morena. She had become friends with Pushpendra Rawat, a resident of Sabalgarh, and their friendship soon turned into a relationship.

Pushpendra took her to his nephew’s house in Char Shehar Ka Naka, where he repeatedly raped her. Later, he continued to exploit her. When the victim discovered she was pregnant, she insisted on marriage.

Instead of agreeing, Pushpendra sought help from his brother-in-law, Paan Singh. Paan Singh called the girl to Joura for a conversation but raped her there as well. Taking advantage of the situation, they forced her to undergo an abortion. After this, Pushpendra refused to marry her.

Heartbroken and helpless, the victim finally approached Hajira police station and filed an FIR.

The police have registered the case and started an investigation. A team has already been sent to arrest the accused.
