Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): A 16-year-old student from Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior, allegedly jumped in front of a train after losing ₹35k in an online game, as reported by police on Wednesday.
According to information, the deceased was identified as Vikesh Rawat, son of farmer Udaybhan Rawat, and the incident occurred in Dabra Dehat area of Hatehra village in Shivpuri district.
Vikesh, had recently lost ₹35k while playing an online game. Deeply upset and mentally disturbed by the loss, he left home on Tuesday evening without informing his family and did not return.
The family searched for him throughout the night. However, on Wednesday morning, his body was found on the Gwalior–Bhopal railway track.

Eyewitnesses said that Vikesh jumped onto the tracks as a train approached, leading to his instant death.
Police from Dabra reached the spot, took the body for postmortem, and began an investigation.
It was found that Vikesh had been spending a lot of time on online games for a long time, and the recent financial loss pushed him to take this extreme step.
Such cases frequent in state
This is not the first such case reported in Madhya Pradesh.
Earlier on August 1, a 13-year-old student in Indore hanged himself after losing ₹2,800 in the online free fire game. He was afraid that his family would get angry and punish him.
Not only this, in the month of July, a case of minor abduction through an online game ‘Free Fire‘ was reported from Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur.
Fortunately, the girl returned home safely and informed the police about the entire incident.
