The Indian automobile industry showcased strong momentum in February 2025, with major automakers continuing to witness steady demand across segments. Leading brands saw significant traction, driven by the rising popularity of SUVs and electric vehicles. While Kia India maintained its growth trajectory with a strong market response to its latest offerings, JSW MG Motor further strengthened its position in the EV space. Honda Cars India also reported stable performance, reflecting consistent demand in both domestic and export markets. The positive sales trend highlights the evolving consumer preferences and the industry's resilience amid changing market dynamics.

JSW MG Motor India reported sales of 4,002 units in February 2025, with electric vehicles making up 78% of the total, reflecting a rising preference for MG’s EV lineup. The company also retailed 4,956 vehicles during the month, highlighting strong customer demand. The MG Windsor continues to strengthen its position in the electric vehicle segment, with production recently crossing the 15,000-unit milestone. Meanwhile, MG's Halol facility has temporarily scaled down production to accommodate upgrades for new product launches and to streamline Windsor’s manufacturing process.

Honda Cars India Ltd. (HCIL) recorded total sales of 10,323 units in February 2025, including 5,616 units in the domestic market and 4,707 units for export. Compared to the same month last year, domestic sales saw a decline from 7,142 units, while exports dropped from 5,936 units. Despite the dip, the company remains focused on its premium car lineup and continues to strengthen its presence in both domestic and international markets.

Kia India recorded strong sales in February 2025, with 25,026 units sold, reflecting a 23.8% year-on-year growth from 20,200 units in the same period last year. The newly launched Kia Syros saw a positive market response, selling 5,425 units, backed by over 20,000 bookings. The Sonet and Seltos remained key contributors, with 7,598 and 6,446 units sold, respectively. The Carens continued its steady demand, registering 5,318 units, while the premium Carnival Limousine added 239 units to the tally. Kia’s consistent growth highlights its strong presence in the Indian automotive market.
