Washington DC: Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday, August 15, received a warm welcome from his US counterpart at the red carpet in Anchorage, Alaska. Both leaders exchanged smiles and shook hands warmly ahead of the three-hour-long closed-door summit 'Pursuing Peace' aimed to find ways to end the Ukraine war.

In a show of strength, the United States' B-2 Spirit Stealth Bomber, along with F-22s, roared past overhead, as the two leaders met at the Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage. After deboarding his Air Force One plane, Trump waited for Putin, who walked towards him. The two leaders then walked towards the stage with “Alaska 2025" written on it.

Here's The Video:

When Trump and Putin were heading towards the stage, the US military aircraft flew past over Putin. The Russian President looked upwards towards the aircraft. The video of the incident also surfaced online.

The B-2 Bomber is a stealth aircraft used to penetrate sophisticated anti-aircraft defences and carrying out precision strikes. In June this year, the US used these bombers to carry out strikes on Iranian nuclear installations. The B-2 can perform attack missions at altitudes of up to 50,000 feet and has a refuelling range of more than 11,000 km. It entered the US service in 1997.

Trump-Putin Meeting:

Trump and Putin held a "very productive" bilateral meeting in Alaska. However, the US President failed to secure an agreement from Putin to end Russia's military operation in Ukraine. "There's no deal until there's a deal," the U.S. president said, after Putin claimed they had come to an "understanding" on Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Putin noted that there should be cooperation between Russia and the US. The Russian President also praised his US counterpart. "I expect that today's agreements will become a reference point not only for solving the Ukrainian problem, but will also mark the beginning of the restoration of businesslike, pragmatic relations between Russia and the U.S.," Putin said.
