A disturbing video has emerged on social media showing several Punjab Police officers in Pakistan forcibly dragging and slapping a woman during what appears to be a domestic dispute in Pakpattan district.

The shocking footage, shared on X (formerly Twitter) by user Ihtisham UI Haq on Thursday, shows police personnel from the Farid Kot Chowki station violently assaulting the woman. "Shame on you. You will never change," Haq wrote while sharing the video.

According to reports, the incident occurred in Chak 39 Awais P area of Pakpattan in Pakistan's Punjab province. The video allegedly shows Assistant Sub-Inspector in charge of Pakpattan Farid Kot Chowki, along with other personnel, repeatedly slapping the woman.

According to social media claims, the woman's husband divorced her several years ago, yet she had remained in the family home. It is alleged that her former in-laws contacted police to forcibly remove her from the property, leading to the brutal assault captured on camera.

The police officers are seen entering the house and torturing the woman. The cops reportedly subjected her to physical and verbal abuse during the incident.

The video has gone viral across social media platforms, with users expressing outrage over the apparent police brutality against the defenceless woman. Many are demanding immediate action against the officers involved in the assault.

Demanding action against accused, one user wrote, "Punjab CM Maryam Nawaz should make an example of this police officer so that no one dares to raise a hand against our women."

"First the uniform, then the police station changed, but the attitude of Punjab Police didn’t change," wrote another user.

After facing backlash on social media, the Pakpattan Police took action against the ASI involved in the assault. In a social media post, Pakpattan Police said, "DPO Pakpattan Javed Chaddar, taking immediate strict notice, had the ASI who slapped the woman arrested, and a case has been registered."
