Video: Fugitive Islamic Preacher Zakir Naik Meets Ex-Pak PM Nawaz Sharif

Fugitive Islamic preacher Zakir Naik met former prime minister Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz at their Raiwind residence. A visual of the meeting has surfaced online.

According to reports, Zakir Naik and Nawaz Sharif discussed various issues; however, it is yet to be known what topics they discussed.

Recently, Zakir, a controversial figure in India, met with former Pakistan cricketer Mohammad Hafeez.

Hafeez was heavily criticized by Indian X users after he posted pictures of the meeting on the microblogging site.

In October last year, Zakir Naik, who is wanted in India for alleged money laundering and inciting extremism, was spotted with the commander of the UN-designated terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) in Pakistan.

Zakir, who fled India after his name cropped up in investigations related to a terror attack in Bangladesh in 2016, is believed to be living in Malaysia. In Pakistan, Zakir Naik has met several top Pakistani politicians, including Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. He has been delivering lectures across Pakistan and has been speaking to Pakistani media and YouTubers.
