Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun attended the swearing-in ceremony of Donald Trump, who took oath as the 47th President of the United States of America on Monday.

A video of Pannun has surfaced on social media. He can be seen chanting pro-Khalistan slogans as Trump, along with his wife Melania, stood on the stage during his Inauguration inside Capitol Hill.

As the crowd, gathered to witness Trump being sworn in and listen to his maiden speech as the 47th President of the US, started chanting "USA, USA," Pannun started chanting pro-Khalistan slogans.

According to reports, the Khalistani terrorist wasn't invited to the mega event, but he attended after purchasing a ticket.

Since the video emerged online, many Indian users have wondered how a person like Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, who issued death threats to Indian diplomats and leaders, including threats of air-bombing, was allowed to attend the high-profile event.

Expressing dismay over the fact that Pannun was present inside the same venue as Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, a user stated, "How can such an extremist get an invitation to such a high-profile ceremony? Didn't the CIA or FBI assess the security risk to EAM S Jaishankar and other dignitaries? Horrible!!!"

Who is Gurpatwant Singh Pannun?

It is believed that Pannun has made the US his home and from abroad he runs campaigns to divide India along religious lines and create many countries. Over a dozen cases have been filed against Pannun in different states across India, emphasising the seriousness of his anti-national endeavors.

He has been a subject of pursuit by the NIA since 2019, being accused of playing a significant role in promoting and orchestrating terrorist acts to instill fear in both Punjab and the nation as a whole. In 2022, the Indian government designated Pannun as a terrorist.
