Even the Taliban-led government of Afghanistan has reacted to this horrific incident and condemned it.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Abdul Qahar Balkhi said in a statement on X on Wednesday, 'The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the IEA condemns the attack on tourists in the Pahalgam area of Jammu and Kashmir and expresses sympathy to the families of those who lost their lives in this incident. Such acts threaten the security and stability of the region.
The deadly terrorist incident has drawn widespread international condemnation, with US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin among the world leaders expressing solidarity with India. Messages of condolence have come from the Foreign Offices of Pakistan, China, Germany, the United Arab Emirates, and Sri Lanka.
The Muslim World League also issued a statement strongly condemning the attack, describing it as "ghastly" and offering heartfelt condolences for the innocent lives lost in the incident.
Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday visited the Government Medical College (GMC) in Anantnag to meet the injured victims of the terror attack. Earlier today, HM Amit Shah visited the incident site.
