Houston: In a shocking incident, a woman passenger forced a Phoenix-bound Southwest Airlines flight to go back to the gate by stripping naked on the plane. The woman is reported to be an astronaut. The woman suddenly started yelling and undressing her as she wanted off the flight, reported Fox News. The incident took place on Monday aboard Southwest Airlines Flight 733 from Houston to Phoenix in the United States.

As per local reports, the woman also started beating fellow passengers and harassing flight attendants. She even reportedly pounded on the cockpit. A passenger told KHOU-TV that the woman turned towards other passengers on the flight and stripped naked.

Meanwhile, another passenger told KPNX-TV that the woman started jumping up and down and it was evident that she was having a mental breakdown. The fellow passenger further added that the woman claimed herself to be bipolar.

Video Of The Incident:

One of the passengers recorded the entire incident on a mobile. In the video, which went viral, the woman 'astronaut' could be seen walking in the aisle completely naked. She could also be heard screaming.

When the plane returned to the gate at Houston's Hobby Airport, staff reportedly covered the woman with a blanket. However, she took off the blanket, reported Fox News quoting the passenger.

Houston police reportedly took her to a hospital for medical evaluation. No case has been filed against the woman, as per the latest reports.

After the incident, Southwest Airlines told KHOU that the flight returned to the gate because of a customer situation onboard. The airline also apologised for the woman's behaviour.
