As inauguration of Donald Trump presidency 2.0 nears, so do protests. With the inauguration ceremony set to take place on Monday (Kanuary 20). Those disagreeing with President-elect Donald Trump's views are planning protests and have already started gathering in Washington DC. DC People's March, a demonstration organized by several activist groups began on Saturday morning as per local time with an aim to hold a rally outside Lincoln Memorial later in the day. It is expected that 50,000 people would attend the rally braving cold wave weather conditions currently prevalent in the US.

"I am here today to support women's autonomy and rights and also to support the concerns of the overall population like LGBTQ. He was quoted by news agency ANI.

"...The next four years are going to be horrible," said Kathy, another protester.

There is a big change in the presidential inauguration this time around. The ceremony usually takes place outdoors but Donald Trump has decided to hold it indoors inside US Capitol building considering the cold wave.

On Saturday (Indian time) Trump took to Truth Social, the social media network he himself owns to announced this. The inauguration ceremony will now take place at the Rotunda inside the US Capitol building.

The Rotunda is a gathering space inside the building named so because of its circular shape.
