Islamabad: Months after Operation Sindoor, a report published by a Pakistani media house claimed that Islamabad lost over 150 soldiers in India's precision strikes. Samaa TV later allegedly deleted the report. However, a screenshot of the news report surfaced online and is going viral.
The now deleted news article also had a list of gallantry awards conferred by Pakistan’s president “for courage and supreme sacrifice during Operation Bunyanun Marsoos.". Notably, Operation Bunyanun Marsoos is the codename of Pakistan's retaliation to Indian strikes on its air bases.
The Samaa TV report mentions that the names of 155 soldiers with 'Shaheed (martyr) written before their names. The list, now going viral on social media, had the names of 146 recipients of the Imtiazi Sanad. Meanwhile, 45 soldiers were confered the Tamgha e Basalat. Out of the total, four soldiers reportedly received this award posthumously.

Among the recipients of the Sitara-e-Basalat, one soldier was awarded posthumously. Even four soldiers were given the Tamgha-e-Jurat posthumously. However, there is no official statement released by the Pakistani government in this regard.
For the unversed, during the 1999 Kargil War, Pakistan also abandoned the bodies of its soldiers. Later, the neighbouring country accepted a few bodies.
Pahalgam Attack And Operation Sindoor:
On April 22, five to six Pakistan-backed terrorists opened fire on people enjoying their vacations at Baisaran meadow near Jammu and Kashmir's Pahalgam, killing. Initially, Pakistan-based terror organisation Lashkar-e-Taiba's (LeT) offshoot, The Resistance Front (TRF), claimed responsibility. However, it denied its role days later.
To avenge the Pahalgam terror attack, on the intervening night of May 6 and 7, the Indian Armed Forces launched Operation Sindoor and targeted nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Pakistan tried to attack Indian civilian and military installations. However, India's air defence thwarted the attack. On the intervening night of May 9 and 10, India hit 11 Pakistani air bases.
Pakistan's Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) on May 10 contacted his Indian counterpart and requested a ceasefire.
