Local media have reported fresh strikes by Israel on Iran on Tuesday, despite U.S. President Donald Trump claiming Israel had called them off at his command to preserve an hours-old ceasefire.

Two explosions were heard in Tehran, the judiciary news outlet Mizan reported. According to Israeli Army radio, Israel had struck an Iranian radar site near Tehran.

The strikes took place minutes after Trump said Israel had called off its retaliatory attack to his command.

Trump took to his social media Truth Social and said, "All planes will turn around and head home, while doing a friendly 'Plane Wave' to Iran. Nobody will be hurt, the Ceasefire is in effect!"

Trump has departed for the NATO summit in The Hague, Netherlands. Trump on Truth Social said Iran will never be able to rebuild its nuclear programme.
