What Exactly Happened?
Amid the ongoing spring session of the Serbian parliament, Deputies (Lawmakers in Serbia) were slated to vote on a law that would hike the funding for university education, but opposition parties insisted the session was illegal and should first confirm the resignation of Prime Minister Miloš Vučević and his government.
The chaos started around an hour after the session commenced with the opposition blowing whistles and holding up a banner which read “Serbia has risen so the regime would fall!”

Soon after the clash broke out between lawmakers the situation snowballed and flares and smoke bombs were thrown.
According to local media reports, eggs and water bottles were also thrown.
Parliament speaker Ana Brnabic referred to the opposition as being a “terrorist gang.”
According to reports, one legislator reportedly suffered a stroke and is in a serious condition.
Reason Behind The Chaos?
Serbia has been witnessing continuous protests since November last year, which were stirred by the collapse of a roof at a newly renovated train station in Novi Sad, on November 1. The incident killed 15 people and 2 were left severely injured.
PM's Resignation
