Seoul: South Korea's naval patrol plane crashed in Pohang city. There were reportedly four naval personnel onboard the plane at the time of the incident.

Authorities have rushed to the spot. They are accessing the damage caused due to the crash.

The patrol plane left its base in the southeastern city of Pohang at 1.43 pm (local time). The reason of the crash is not yet known.

The navy is working to determine the status of the four people aboard the plane and why it crashed, an official statement said as reported by The Associated Press.
