Bacabal: A disturbing incident surfaced from Brazil, where a journalist accidentally stepped on the body of a 13-year-old missing school girl. Ironically, the incident took place when Lenildo Frazao was shooting a segment about the disappearance of the girl while standing in the Mearim River in Bacabal, north-eastern Brazil, reported The Sun.
The girl was last seen in this area. Frazao was demonstrating the depth of the water at the spot where the girl was swimming last time. He reportedly waded into the middle of the river. However, when the water level reached his chest, the journalist flinched.
However, he immediately jumped out of the river in panic. As per the report, the Brazilian reporter had felt something brushing against him beneath the surface. The incident was recorded on camera, and the video is doing rounds on social media.

After jumping to shallow waters, Frazao told his team that there was something at the bottom of the water. He could even be heard saying, "I am not going, I am scared."
“It looked like an arm - could it be her?" he further stated.
"But it might be a fish too, I don’t know," he added as reported by the media house.
The incident took place on June 30. After Frazao's video, authorities resumed the search operation. Notably, the girl's body was recovered from the same spot where the journalist was shooting.
In the postmortem report, there were no signs of physical trauma. As per the report, the cause of the death was due to accidental drowning. The girl, identified as RaÃssa, was laid to rest on the evening of June 30.
