At least three people were killed and several injured after a man opened fire inside a Crown Heights restaurant early Sunday morning. The incident reportedly took place around 3.30am inside Taste of the City Lounge, located at 903 Franklin Avenue, according to NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch.
The total of 11 shooting victims included eight males and three females, while those who were killed included two men, one 27-year-old and the other 35-year-old, while the identity and age of the third fatal victim have yet to be confirmed.
The injured were rushed to nearby hospitals. However, the police have yet to release information on the severity of their injuries.
Currently, no one has been arrested and the perpetrators are still on the run. Law enforcement officials reported that several gunmen participated in the shooting and verified that investigators collected at least 36 bullet casings from the location.

Authorities stated that the case remains under active investigation, with detectives continuing efforts to establish a motive and locate the shooters.
The establishment, Taste of the City Lounge, launched in 2022 and specialises in American and Caribbean food while also providing bar service, hookah, and live DJ entertainment. The business, situated within half a mile of the Brooklyn Museum, had reportedly shut down at 3.00am, just before the shooting took place.
