An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2 on the Richter Scale hit Pakistan at 16:00:05 (IST) today, reported National Center for Seismology (NCS).

The earthquake's epicenter was located at coordinates 36.60°N, 72.89°E, at a relatively shallow depth of 10 kilometers.

No casualties or property damage have been reported following the seismic event.

This marks the third time in a month that earthquake tremors have been felt in Pakistan. Earlier, a 5.8-magnitude quake struck the region on April 12, followed by another measuring 4.4 on April 30.

Pakistan regularly experiences earthquakes of different strengths due to its location in a seismically active region. The country's most devastating earthquake occurred in 2005, claiming over 74,000 lives.
