Washington: US President Donald Trump once again became the butt of Twitter jokes when he misspelled the word ‘stolen’ as ‘stollen’, days after committing a major faux pas by tweeting that “138 million people” were killed in a series of blasts in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday. Trump has said on Twitter that Special Counsel Robert Mueller “should not testify” before Congress.

The US president has previously said he would not block Mueller from testifying and leave the final decision to Attorney General William Barr.

The 448-page Mueller Report found no evidence of collusion between Russia and Trump’s 2016 election campaign. His testimony, however, may give Congress access to new information otherwise hidden by redactions.

“Despite the tremendous success that I have had as President, including perhaps the greatest ECONOMY and most successful first two years of any President in history, they have stollen two years of my (our) Presidency (Collusion Delusion) that we will never be able to get back…..,” Trump added in a later tweet.

Trump later corrected his spelling, saying that two years of his presidency had been “stolen.” According to Cambridge dictionary, stollen a German cake containing dried fruit and marzipan, usually eaten at Christmas.

On April 21, President Trump offered “heartfelt condolences” to the people of Sri Lanka after the country’s worst terror attack killed over 250 people.

The US leader, however, erroneously wrote that “138 million people” were killed in the attacks.

“Heartfelt condolences from the people of the United States to the people of Sri Lanka on the horrible terrorist attacks on churches and hotels that have killed at least 138 million people and badly injured 600 more. We stand ready to help!” Trump said in a tweet which was taken down after more than 20 minutes.

Trump’s remarks did not go unnoticed as the agile twitterati started poking fun at the appalling tweet. Sri Lanka has a total population of around 21.7 million.
