Hercules 

Demigod son of Zeus, Hercules (Dwayne Johnson), is said to have murdered his wife and children during a visit to King Eurystheus. He is haunted by it and has visions of Cerberus, the multi-headed dog in Greek mythology. Hercules is approached by Ergenia on behalf of her father Lord Cotys to defend their kingdom from Rhesus. After getting defeated, Rhesus tells Hercules that he was merely retaliating against Lord Coty. When Hercules is chained, Eurystheus reveals that Hercules’s family was killed by wolves sent by him. Hercules breaks free of his chains, kills Eurystheus and defeats Lord Coty and his army. Watch this 3-D action fantasy adventure film for Dwayne Johnson’s physique and impressive special effects.

Snitch 

John’s (Dwayne Johnson) son Jason is charged in a drugs case by a frie

nd who snitches on him. John meets attorney Joanne Keeghan (Susan Sarandon) who is running an anti-drug campaign to improve her chances for election to Congress. Joanne agrees to get Jason released if John works as an informant against the drug cartel. John works with Daniel (Jon Bernthal) and devises a plan to free himself and Daniel from both the government and the cartel. After a highway chase and shoot-out, the drug kingpin too is captured. Jason is released and John gives Daniel the reward check that he had got for the capture of the drug kingpin. This crime drama is a departure from Dwayne Johnson’s action-oriented performances.

Journey 2: The Mysterious Island 

To help teenager Sean (Josh Hutcherson) find his grandfather Alexander who has been missing for two years, stepfather and former Navy code breaker Hank (Dwayne Johnson) deciphers a code using island maps from three Jules Verne books and gets the coordinates to its location. They take Gabato and his daughter Kailani along. After the copter crashes, they find Alexander (Michael Caine) but have just a few hours left to find the legendary Nautilus (Captain Nemo’s submarine) and escape from the submerging island. To power the 140 years old vessel’s batteries they use a harpoon to get an electrical jump start from the electric eels swarming around them. The 3-D sci-fiction adventure comedy sequel to Journey to the Center of the Earth was a box office hit that surpassed its predecessor.

Faster 

Driver (Dwayne Johnson) kills a man. Meanwhile, Driver is being tracked down by detective Cicero, Cop (Billy Bob Thornton) and a hitman ‘Killer’. Driver kills an old man who is about to take advantage of a young girl. It is revealed that earlier Driver’s brother and Driver were shot at by Cop but Driver survived. Driver stabs a man who slit his brother’s throat but he is in hospital so Cop and ‘Killer’ wait for Driver but Driver kills the man and escapes. Cop is shot by Driver but Cicero decides to cover up Cop’s involvement so that his family can receive his benefits. Driver scatters his brother’s ashes in the sea. Watch Johnson in full-throttle action mode.

The Scorpion King 

Ruthless militant Memnon’s victories come with the help of a sorcerer so Ki

ng Pheron hires Mathayus (Dwayne Johnson), his brother Jesup and a friend to kill Memnon’s sorcerer. Mathayus finds sorceress Cassandra (Kelly Hu) but is then captured and Memnon executes Jesup in front of him. Memnon has Mathayus buried up to his neck in the desert to be devoured by ants but he escapes and abducts Cassandra who tells him that she has been Memnon’s prisoner since she was a child and they make love. Mathayus, with help from an army of rebels, attacks and kills Mathayus and is hailed as the Scorpion King. The engaging action adventure flick was a moderate box office success, spawned two video games and led to two sequels.
