Yadgir, Karnataka: A video is making rounds on the Internet of a railway ticket clerk spotted busy talking on a phone call while a long queue of passengers waits to collect their tickets. The video is from Yadgir railway station, Karnataka, and has sparked outrage on social media platforms since the video went viral. Replying to the significant wrath on the viral posts, Railseva and South Central Railway responded to the action being taken against the clerk.
Busy Clerk, Long Queue Awaits
The viral video shows a long queue of people at the ticket counter waiting to collect their tickets for a long time. But the ticket clerk, relaxing on his chair, doesn't give any attention to them. He seems to be happily talking to someone on the phone, as if he is on a break from work.
After a long time, one of the passengers lost his patience and shouted at the clerk, to which he said, "Wait for 1 minute." The angry passenger replied, "How much more 1 minute? He has been saying 1 minute for the last 15 minutes." Many other passengers give the clerk furious stares, after which he keeps his phone aside and starts working again.

The video was posted on X by @rajanna_rupesh. The caption of the video reads, "Look at this arrogant behavior.. An incident that occurred at Yadgir Railway Station in Karnataka... Immediately dismiss this person from the job."
Railway's Response:
Since the video went viral on social media and netizens started raging against the railway employee, both South Central Railway and Railway Seva's X handle responded to the separate posts.
While noting the complaint, South Central Railway wrote, "Notified to @drmgtl for necessary action please"
While the Railway Seva responded, "Sir, This complaint is already registered in railmadad and concerned officials are looking into it..."
