A video showing overcrowded 3rd AC coach of Sikkim Mahananda Express is going viral and sparking criticism on the social media. The video shows passengers barging in the AC coach leaving the reserved passengers in distress. When the video grabbed visiblity on the social media, railway seva has reponded to the incident and had regretted over the bad experience passengers received. Netizens have taken toll on the railway division and have slammed the authorities.

AC Coach Turned Into General Coach

In the viral video, many passengers can be seen barging forcefully in the 3rd AC compartment of the Sikkim Mahananda Express. While other reserved passengers kept looking at the pouring crowd in discomfort. As seen in the video, the crowd jammed the passing lobby in the compartment and while some can also be seen standing near the reserved seats of the ticket holding passengers.

The video was posted by an X profile named @ILoveSiliguri. The caption of the video reads, "Yesterday, 3rd AC coach of Sikkim Mahananda Express (15483) was overcrowded at Katihar, leaving reserved passengers distressed. Despite being an AC coach, it turned into a packed general compartment, raising serious concerns about railway management.".

Railway Seva's Response

Railway Seva responded on the posted video in the comments section and brought attention to the concerned department of Katihar railway officials. The respond reads, "We regret the experience you had. Please share your journey details (PNR / UTS no.) & Mobile no. preferably via DM to enable us to take immediate action." The railway seva added, "Thank you for writing to us. Rest assured we're bringing this to the attention of the concerned department right away. @drm_kir"

The railway seva's response also received criticism from the netizens. Few users slammed the regretful tone of the response rather than providing any help. One user wrote, "What regret? Getting our money right? If we give our PNR number goons will come and beat us up"

Another user wrote, "Give refunds to all and cut salaries of duty person . That’s the way."

Another user commented, "Sir, mere regret won’t help,you shd pull up the Railway Police for not doing its duty,may be suspend the whole team which was supposed to be on duty on the given date n time."
