Wildlife enthusiasts and photographers wait months and years together to capture rare sightings on their lenses. While spotting some rare wildlife movements through one's eye is fascinating in itself, filming them on camera is a next-level thrilling experience. During a recent visit to the Ranthambore National Park, a photographer named Sandeep witnessed a family of tigers crossing Rajbagh lake.
Sandeep was on a safari vehicle when he came across a tigress swimming across the lake with two of her cubs and another adult tiger. He recorded the visuals on camera and shared it on social media. Taking to Instagram, he posted his observation from the national park and termed it "Rarest of the rare" sighting.

Sighting recorded during evening safari
The mother tiger was identified as Riddhi, who was spotted in the waters along with two of its cubs. The video shared by the wildlife photographer captured tigress Riddhi crossing the Rajbagh lake with its two cubs.
The video opened to show four tigers stepping into the lake and swimming without any human intervention.
The visuals were recorded from the Zone 3 of Ranthambore National Park during an evening safari on January 13, 2025, Sandeep stated.

The sighting was also reported on the official website of the park. In its blog, the site wrote, "This fascinating viral video of tigress Riddhi with cubs is a testament to the fact that Ranthambore is one of the best places to visit for wildlife tourism. Displaying a healthy tiger population, the park provides a natural habitat for the big cats, and tourists and photographers get to capture the animals in their natural environment".
Ranthambhore is home to a large number of Royal Bengal Tigers and Tigress Riddhi is one of its famous ones. Also referred as T-124, the female tiger is known for her daring and adventurous nature.
According to the park's website, Riddhi has a legendary status as the fifth-generation descendant of the famous Tigress Machali, who is referred to as ‘The Lady of the Lake.’ The tigress is said to have become the symbol of the Ranthambore Wildlife, charming the guests with her beauty and motherly nature.
