A disturbing incident in Agra's Kamla Nagar has sparked fresh concerns over the growing stray dog population after a monkey was allegedly mauled to death by a pack of street dogs in a residential neighborhood. The incident reportedly took place on Thursday evening and has left local residents worried about public safety.
According to eyewitnesses, a monkey entered a lane in Kamla Nagar when it was suddenly surrounded by a group of six to seven stray dogs. Within moments, the dogs attacked the animal from multiple sides, leaving it with little chance to escape.
Eyewitnesses describe brutal attack
Residents who witnessed the incident said the monkey struggled to break free, but the dogs continued to bite its neck, legs, and other parts of its body. The pack reportedly dragged the injured animal through the street while continuing the assault.
Several people were present at the scene during the attack. However, due to fear of the aggressive dogs, no one intervened to rescue the monkey. Instead, some bystanders recorded the incident on their mobile phones. Videos of the attack have since been widely shared on social media.
