Every automobile enthusiast might have dreamt of bringing home the vintage Padmini. Did we hear you saying that you too wanted to live a day driving this car across your city? A Bengaluru woman named Rachana Mahadimane made her dream come true by purchasing a Premier Padmini in 2024. It was on her birthday that she gifted herself this vehicle, which made her pinch herself to realise her wish had manifested.
Rachana shared a video of her driving her Padmini and narrating her love story with the vintage car. "It is the car of my dreams. I have been dreaming about this car since I was a child", she said.

Padmini on roads after restoration
In her video, she was seen driving her dream car. She happily held the steering of the vintage car and drove it on the roads of her city.
She revealed that a lot of work went behind bringing Padmini to a usable condition. She went to an automobile workshop to restore the car and make it function effectively.
"This is what the car looked like a few months ago at the workshop. And it obviously took a lot of time, effort and patience. My garage guys transformed this car into this beautiful looking Padmini. I love the powder blue colour and how it has turned out," she said.
Rachana also posed by standing next to her stunning powder-blue beauty she now owns.
Being posted online on December 31, the video has gone viral and gathered 1.3 lakh likes on Instagram.
