Bengaluru, April 14: In a shocking incident, a water tanker overturned on Dommasandra-Varthur main road in Bengaluru earlier on Monday (April 14), causing a major disruption to traffic in the area. The incident was caught on camera and the video of the incident is doing rounds on social media. The video depicts an action scene from a Hollywood movie, however, it is not a movie scene but an actual incident which occurred in Bengaluru.
The video of the incident was shared on social media by an X user identified as "@abhisheksingh22". The video shows that the driver lost control of the vehicle, leading to the accident. The video was caught on the rear dash cam installed in a car which was travelling on the same road. It can be seen in the video that the water tanker skids while overtaking another truck.
The tanker then overturns and rolls around three times on the road. Luckily, there was no deaths reported in the incident. However, the driver of the tanker has reportedly suffered serious injuries in the accident.
There was no car or bike travelling near the tanker when the incident occurred. The accident could have been fatal if any pedestrian or any other vehicle would have been hit by the tanker when it rolled.
As per reports, the people passing by and local residents quickly rushed to the spot after the accident occurred and managed to pull the driver out of the overturned tanker.
The driver was rescued alive from the tanker, however, he was found to be unconscious and was immediately provided with first aid before being rushed to a nearby hospital for further medical treatment.
There are reports that the authorities have been informed about the incident after which they arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation into the accident. They are trying to determine the exact cause of the accident.
