A witty Facebook post recently captured hearts online, as a police officer humorously suggested a cat had been "arrested", but not for any serious crime. The feline was lost from its owner and brought to the police station for help. However, it displayed no signs of distress, instead calmly posed for the camera as if preparing for a professional photo shoot. Well, the picture had to be good for its 'missing' poster, right?

At Bangkok police station, officers playfully "detained" a cat, only to grab the attention of social media users and get their support in finding the feline's pet parent.

Officer Pakeesuk documented the incident in a witty social media post.

More details

Earlier this month, he uploaded photos showing the cat, an American Shorthair wearing a pink harness, after it was brought in by a local resident who found it wandering alone.

“This cat has been charged with assaulting police officers and is about to be detained. Please share this post so her owner can come and bail her out,” Officer Pakeesuk wrote, using humour to draw attention to the lost pet in hopes of reuniting it with its owner.

"The investigating officer of the case charged him with “attempting to subdue an official” and released on bail. My parents have come to pick me up and take me to training", he said in an update.

In one photo, the officer is seen gently petting the cat with his finger, while another image shows the feline looking downward, wearing what looks like a bouquet-wrapped scarf around its neck.

The post quickly went viral, with social media users praising the officer's joking way of telling people about the lost cat and the cat's cute expressions when in "custody".
