Gauff writes "RIP TikTok USA" on camera lens

The video of her writing "RIP TikTok USA" on the camera lens has gone viral across internet platforms. It recorded her holding a blue marker pen in her hand and writing these words on the lens when the camera was recording her live in a closeup. The camera was on when she took a pen to scribble over it. She wrote "RIP" and made a heartbroken sign on the lens.

Gauff, one of the top players of the game, finished her tournament in Melbourne and learned TikTok services were suspended in the USA in adherence to a federal ban on the app. She made this news the spotlight instead of writing her thoughts about the match.

While it is a tradition to handover a pen to tennis players at many tournaments to understand their feeling after a win, Gauff's message was far from her thoughts about the game. She instead bid adieu to the popular social media app when presented with a pen to write on the camera lens and express what was in her mind.

She took a few seconds to think what he could write on the camera, but soon fixed her pen nib to extend a farewell to TikTok.

"I think I'm going to go with this one," she was heard saying before offering her TikTok message in blue ink.

How Gauff played at the Tennis match

Coco Gauff played impressively winning a match at the Australian Open and making her way to the quarterfinals. She recorded a 5-7, 6-2, 6-1 victory over Belinda Bencic in the Grand Slam tournament on Sunday.

According to reports, her victory came about an hour after TikTok could no longer be found on prominent app stores in the United States. This made her share her reaction over it and extending a Rest in Peace message.
