Passenger narrates ordeal

He described the moment as a "mini heart attack" and called it a terrifying experience. He approached the staff for assistance and they were relocated to vacant seats on the flight. While the cabin crew promptly relocated them to other available seats, Sethi pointed out how these IndiGo seats could have been a serious thing for elderly people and those with back pain.

"Seats could literally swing back and forth"

"The first time it happened, it was terrifying. The seats could literally swing back and forth. I would not want an elderly person with a medical issue sitting on such a seat in a flying aircraft," Sethi wrote in his post, urging IndiGo to address the issue immediately.

He also wrote the airline called for the maintenance team to look into the matter when the flight passengers alighted.

IndiGo responds

In response to the incident, IndiGo assured that the matter was being taken "extremely seriously". "We understand our crew responded promptly to address the situation and provided you with an alternate seat. The safety and comfort of our customers remain our top priority," the airline stated, as quoted in reports.
