An Indian python was recently rescued by a snake rescuer, but a scary incident was caught on camera. A video shows a man being bitten by the snake while attempting to take a selfie with it.

In the footage, the python is seen in the hands of the snake rescuer when a man approaches and tries to take a selfie, just as the rescuer is momentarily distracted. The snake suddenly latches onto the man's hand with its mouth, leaving both the onlookers and the rescuer shocked.

The video further shows the rescuer swiftly and skillfully separating the snake from the man's hand.

According to Wildlife SOS, the Indian python is listed under Schedule I of the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972, which grants it the highest level of protection, handling, injuring, or disturbing an Indian python can lead to serious penalties, including fines and imprisonment.
