Fazilka (Punjab), August 13: In a shocking incident, an elderly man suffered serious injuries after being attacked by a stray bull in Punjab's Fazilka. The horrific attack was caught on camera and the video of the incident is doing rounds on social media. It can be seen in the video that the bull tossed the elderly man upto 12 feet into the air after which he suffered serious injuries.
There are reports that the incident occurred on Sunday (August 10) evening in Fazilka's Bank Colony area, where the stray bull attacked the 70-year-old man. The attack was so fierce that the man was thrown around 10 to 12 feet in the air and landed on a pile of bricks on the side of the road near a house.
The victim has been identified as Ramraj who is a resident of Bank Colony. He suffered deep head wounds and fractures in one arm and a leg. He was rendered with three to four stitches on his head and is currently receiving treatment at a private hospital for his injuries.
As per reports from Jagran, his daughter said that her father went to the market to buy flowers on Sunday for his visit to Shivling on Monday, which he visits every week. While he was returning home from the market, the bull which was standing in a narrow lane charged at him.
She also said that the bull lifted her father with such forced that he was thrown around 12 feet into the air and then landed on the pile of bricks. The severe impact caused him injuries to his head and limbs.
The incident has raised serious concerns over the rising number of stray cattle attacks in several parts of the country. The issue needs to be addressed by the administration and steps must be taken to curb such incidents in the future.
