Prominent journalist Nidhi Razdan is back with a new show on NDTV. She took to Twitter to make the announcement on Monday. "Itโs time to stop the excuses, the whatabouthary and the obfuscation. Happy to be back home @ndtv. Watch โNo Spinโ, Monday to Thursday at 9:30 pm," she wrote.
For the unversed, Razdan had left NDTV nearly a year and a half ago after she was offered a teaching job from Harvard University which later turned out to be a "sophisticated phishing attack".
In a blog post in December 2021, Razdan talked about her Harvard โnightmareโ which left her โangry, shocked, disappointed and embarrassedโ as she came to know about the truth behind the job offer from the Harvard University. Razdan said many victims of cybercrime contacted her to share their stories and talk about the fear of being mocked. She also slammed the University as "no one at Harvard reacted when I publicly announced I was leaving NDTV for the University.โ โI had even tagged them in my tweets where I said I was joining Harvard to teach journalism,โ she added.
Later, in a New York Times investigation, it was revealed that Razdan wasn't the only journalist who was contacted by the scamsters. "The perpetrators targeted the other women before they came for me. Among those they went after were senior journalist Rohini Singh, columnist Zainab Sikander, BJP politician Nighat Abbass and an unnamed woman journalist working with a leading newspaper. By the time they contacted me, the hackers were "well-practiced" as the NYT puts it," she wrote in the blog.
Meanwhile, many on Twitter congratulated Razdan after she announed her return with a new show.
