Lucknow: A shocking video from Lucknow's Gomti Nagar surfaced on social media, wherein a group of young men could be seen performing dangerous stunts with cars on public roads. The now-viral footage, shows high-speed vehicles pulling off risky maneuvers, with some men dancing atop their roofs.
In the clip, multiple cars can be seen speeding late at night on the main roads of Gomti Nagar, a busy residential and commercial area of the city. Eyewitnesses told local publications that the reckless driving posed a serious threat to pedestrians and other motorists.
Locals in the area also expressed their anger, saying that such activities have become increasingly frequent.

Taking note of the public concern and the viral footage, the Lucknow Police took to X (formerly Twitter), on Tuesday, April 8 and wrote, "The case has been taken cognizance of by higher officials, identification is being done through CCTV/viral video, necessary legal action will be taken after identification."

Senior police officials also confirmed that teams are scanning the CCTV footage in the vicinity to track the vehicles and identify the men involved in the reckless act. Authorities also urged citizens to share any relevant information to aid the investigation. As per reports, strict legal action will be taken against the culprits under sections related to public endangerment and reckless driving.
