The loud honking noise of vehicles often leaves people irritated more than alerting them on the roadway. When busses with shrilling horn sounds drove in Karnataka, a traffic police officer stopped them and gave the bus drivers a befitting punishment. He made them listen to the deafening noises created by the horns. He made these drivers kneel down next to their vehicle and listen to the blasting sound.

A video from the roads of Karnataka showed a traffic cop addressing unruly drivers with loud air horns. The footage recorded the policeman making the drivers listen to their vehicles' horns and understand how disturbing they were.

Take a look at the video below

Making them realise the disturbance they create for others on the road, this cop made them note the loud noises of the horns they press while driving.

The uniformed traffic police made bus drivers with annoying horn sounds step down from their vehicles. He then asked them to place their ears next to the bus and made them hear the shrilling sound produced by the horn.

To teach them a lesson and make them avoid unnecessary honking on the street, he pressed the horn and made these bus drivers listen to the loud horn.

After the bus drivers were exposed to honking, they told the cop how disturbing the loud horn sounds were. They realised how it could disturb and annoy people when used too often or unnecessarily.

Internet reacts

Netizens lauded the approach adopted by the traffic cop to 'punish' the bus drivers. They called it a "Perfect treatment for honking".

"Really good job", one commented. "Although this is inhumane, I appreciate police for doing this", wrote another. A few X users suggested similar harsh methods must be used on other vehicles too. "Should do same with bike silencer too", people said.
