Himachal Pradesh: Train Narrowly Escapes Dangerous Base Collapse Of Rail Bridge On Delhi-Jammu Route

Kangra, Himachal Pradesh: A horrifying tragedy was narrowed by a train carrying thousands of passenger on the bridge of Chakki river, in Himachal Pradesh's Kangra while at the same the base of the bridge collapsed due to flooding in the river. Fortunately, there was no accidents and the train quitely passed through the bridge.

Kangra, Himachal Pradesh: A horrifying tragedy was narrowed by a train carrying thousands of passenger on the bridge of Chakki river, in Himachal Pradesh's Kangra while at the same the base of the bridge collapsed due to flooding in the river. Fortunately, there was no accidents and the train quitely passed through the bridge. The whole incident was captured in the camera and now going viral on the Internet.

Major train collapse narrowed

In the viral video, a train can be seen passing the taller rail bridge, while the stormy Chakki river is flooding below. Soon, a portion adjacent the river caved into it and splashed away with the rapidly flowing river. As the train continued to move slowly from over the bridge, another part of the base collapsed into the water, putting lives thousands of people at risk. Fortunately the train successfully crossed the bridge and any accident didn't occured.

The incident happened near Dhangu in Kangra which is also near Pathankot. The red alert has ben given currenly to several districts in Himachal Pradesh. The Chakki river has been overflowing making the nearby base moist and soft which caved into te water eventually.

Himachal Pradesh Flash Floods

A few days ago, monsoons unleashed widespread devastation across Himachal Pradesh, leaving 78 people dead and many others injured and feared missing. Flash floods, landslides and cloud bursts have battered the state since June 20, damaging homes, infrastructure and even a trusted local bank in Thunag.

As of July 6, Himachal Pradesh reported 23 flash floods, 19 cloud bursts and 16 landslides. Of the 78 deaths, 50 were due to rain-related incidents including drowning, electrocution, lightning strikes and flash floods. Additionally, 28 people died in road accidents. The State Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) confirmed at least 37 people are still missing, while 115 have been injured.
