Fatehpur: A shocking incident has come to light from Fatehpur district of Uttar Pradesh. A video of an SI in police uniform who is visibly intoxicated is going viral on social media. On the basis of the viral video, the inspector was suspended with immediate effect. The SP has handed over the investigation of this case to CO Khaga.
The viral video is said to be from the roadside near Kanpurwa village of Khakhreru police station area. In the video, it can be clearly seen that the drunk SI in uniform is seen abusing police officials from DIG to IG. The whole incident was recorded on the camera by passersby and is now going viral on social media causing a stir in the police department.

Identification of the SI
As soon as the police department got information about the drunk inspector lying on the roadside, the police reached the spot and took the inspector to the police station. According to police officials, the inspector found drunk posted at Khakhreru police station is identified as Raghunath Singh Rajawat.
Legal Action Against The SI
Taking cognizance of the viral video, the SP has suspended the inspector with immediate effect. DSP Brijmohan Rai said that on the orders of the SP, the inspector has been suspended with immediate effect. Investigation into the matter has been started. Further departmental action will be ensured in the matter based on the factchecking.
Similar Instance From Bihar
Recently a similar instance made headlines from Bihar's government event. Chaos erupted in the program of Minister Neeraj Kumar Bablu on Thursday when District Fisheries Officer Shambhu Kumar, who was present on the stage, was spotted intoxicated. On suspicion, District Magistrate Sawan Kumar ordered for a breath analyzer test, which confirmed 10 milligrams of alcohol. The DM immediately got him arrested and also ordered for departmental action.
