It's been just a few days since people were riding an adventurous ride in Saudi Arabia's amusement park, and another incident occurred in a resort situated in Russia’s Nalchik in Kabardino-Balkaria region, where a chairlift collapsed while at least 20 people were onboard. Reportedly, 8 people have been hospitalised. The horrifying visuals were captured in the CCTV footage and are going viral on the Internet.
Resortgoers traveling in individual chairs faced a tragic accident when the chairlift collapsed mid-operation due to cable breakage. Several chairs can then be seen plummeting into a lake below, and one passenger, who almost made it to the top, was captured holding onto his chair as he hovered a few feet from the ground.
Another passenger travelling in it was plunged into a tree below. According to initial reports, six people were injured and five were hospitalized with light or moderate injuries. In a later update, Russia’s regional Health Ministry reported that two more injured individuals were “taken to the regional clinical hospital.”
