Assam continues to grapple with floods, and photos and videos of death and destruction continue to flood social media. Amid all these disturbing clips, one particular video that has surfaced online from Silchar has managed to put a smile on the face of many.
In the viral clip, a happy father is wading through waist-deep water, carrying his newborn in a basket.
The Twitter user who posted the clip even compared it to Vasudeva who crossed Yamuna river carrying baby Lord Krishna.
“Heart-warming picture from Silchar Floods! This video of a father crossing the waters with his new born baby in Silchar reminds of Vasudeva crossing river Yamuna taking newborn Bhagwan Krishna over his head! Every day is Father’s Day!” the Twitter user tweeted.
As per the latest report,47 lakh people have been affected. More than 80 people have died in the devastating floods.
