For many, it's a moment of reflection and closure, for others it's a chance to share feedback about how the company could have provided the person with a better experience. These notes are often run about a paragraph, but an employee stunned his boss and netizens with a very short, seven-word resignation letter.

One charity accountant (a specialist who focuses on the financial management and reporting requirements of non-profit organisations) decided to walk away came with none of the usual formalities. He just wrote seven straightforward words and left it on his desk before biding adieu to his workplace. “Charity accounting isn’t for me. I quit", he scribbled on a sheet of paper.

I think it leaves a more professional look when you go out like that", read a comment. "Context would help.
