Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh: A diesel-filled tanker lost its control and overturned on the road in Uttar Pradesh's Sonbhadra on August 15. Villagers from nearby villages gathered not to help the victims in the accident but to loot the spilled diesel. Viral visuals show frenzy erupted between villagers to fill the running diesel in hand brought containers like bottles and buckets. The incident is from Markundi Valley under the Chopan police station area. The viral clip is sparking concerns over villagers' safety.
Over 20,000 liters of diesel were spilled on the road when a fuel-filled tanker lost control and overturned on the road. On the information, quickly, villagers from the nearby area and villages gathered to loot the fuel. In the viral visuals, many people can be seen filling the spilled fuel into the containers they brought. Fortunately, there was no fire breakout at the incident, as the spilled diesel could have easily caught fire and could have occurred as a fatal incident for those villagers.

According to reports, the truck clear was severely injured in the accident as the tanker overturned. Reportedly, he was admitted to the nearby hospital.
