Indore: A better environment and cross training for health are primary benefits of cycling, and the biggest benefit that cycling has had on Shah family is bringing them closer.
Elaborating on the benefit, 38-year-old businessman Priyvat Shah said that cycling has brought him closer to his kids and wife.
“In our busy schedules, we not only ignore our health but also forget spending quality time with our family.” He explained that most businesspersons and professionals are usually stressed, so they rarely spend time with their kids doing activities, which kids enjoy.
Talking about how cycling bonded him with his kids, Shah said, “Cycling made me energetic and I share my love for cycling with my kids, Kashish and Meet.” He added that his youngest 8-year-old Kashish also rides for ten kilometres.
Sharing how cycling brought back the spark in their marriage, homemaker Soniya said, “We get to spend time together and feel young, energetic and happy while cycling.” She explained that cycling bonds them as a family.
Discussing his love for cycling, Shah shared, “I recently achieved the title of super randonneur by completing all the brevets, which was a proud moment for me.” He started cycling last year in July. “In the last one year, my life changed, as I am a happier person,” he added.
Talking about their rides, Shah said, “We plan a long trip every weekend, where we visit nearby tourist spots.” He explained that these trips give them a break from their monotonous life.
Sharing their concern for environment, Shah said, “I cycle to nearby places and even to office twice a week.” Further, he explained that they cut down on leisure driving and enjoy fun cycling instead.
