Ujjain : A young police constable who recently joined police forces died in horrendous road accident on Wednesday. Deceased Subhash Solanki had recently joined police forces in November, and was executing his duties last night during a night patrol.
Following the event’s he was bringing two accused of an altercation near Luv-Kush Nagar, back to Neelganga police station, after completion of MLC of two accused, when he was rammed by a speeding truck (MP-09-HG-4426) on his bike at Hanuman Naka turning. The truck ran over the head of Subhash, who was riding pillion, while two other sustained head injuries and multiple injuries in their legs.
According to the police, the truck driver tried to escape with the vehicle after the mishap. However, police, who had soon reached the spot, chased the truck and caught hold of him. The driver was arrested and his truck seized. The body of Budhram is lying at the medical college hospital for the inquest.
