Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): On the second somwar of Shravan (July 21), Lord Shiva’s grand procession and second ‘Mahakal Sawari’ was taken out in Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain at 4 pm.
On the occasion, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav welcomed Baba Mahakal’s Sawari by playing the Damru on Sawari Marg in the district.
CM Yadav also performed the special pooja with a traditional worship ritual in the assembly hall.

The main gate of the temple offered a magnificent sight as armed police personnel paid their respects to Lord Chandramouleshwara, who was seated in a palanquin.
Following the tribute, Lord Chandramouleshwara in the palanquin and Lord Manimahesh on an elephant began their procession to bless and observe the well-being of their devotees.

The procession moved through several important city spots including Ramanujkot, Modh Dharamshala, Kartik Chowk, Khati Ka Mandir, Satyanarayan Mandir, Dhaba Road, Tanki Chauraha, Chatri Chowk, Gopal Mandir, Patni Bazaar, and Gudri Bazaar. The procession will return to the Mahakaleshwar Temple around 7 pm.

The religious event saw the presence of several prominent leaders, including Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla, Cabinet Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya, Minister-in-Charge Gautam Tetwal, and MLA Anil Jain Kalukheda.
Devotees gathered in large numbers to witness the divine procession and seek blessings from Baba Mahakal.
