Ujjain : Visitors arriving to join the grand religious congregation of Simhastha will get the facility of smart parking. Fair Authorities would display the availability of the space on screens at different parking lots of the Simhastha area. Mobile app will also help visitors to know the availability of parking. A visitor arriving in the city should know that up to which point his vehicle would go inside the fair area when he reaches at the distance of 50 km from the city.

This was told by Divisional Commissioner Ravindra Pastor during a meeting zonal and sector magistrates and officials of 22 sectors of 6 zones of Simhastha Fair, at Fair Office here on Monday. Dr Pastor reviewed the progress of the works being done at the sectors. He told that visitors should get the facility of smart parking at Simhastha. They should know whether they would get single or double lane. Parking charge has been decided in 3 fragments. They are 0-6 hours, 6-12 hours and 12-24 hours. For two wheelers, Rs 10 for 6 hours, Rs 15 for 12 hours and Rs 20 for 24 hours. Likewise, for the car and LMV, Rs 30, Rs 50 and Rs 100 would be charged respectively. For heavy and commercial vehicles including trucks and buses, the charge would be Rs 100, Rs 150 and Rs 200 respectively. For taxi and cabs, the charge would be Rs 30, Rs 6o and Rs 100 respectively. Moreover, Rs 100 would be charged per trip for intercity public transport buses and Rs 300 for the whole day. Rs 10 are the charge of cloakroom luggage for 6 hours, Rs 20 for 12 hours and Rs 30 for 24 hours. Parking charge will be applicable at all marked parking lots of the city including Satellite towns. Dr Pastor also directed officials that 17 temporary fire stations and 20 temporary fire points will be operated at the fair area. Zonal magistrates were directed to select the point of hydrant for temporary fire stations and to ensure necessary resources to load the fire fighter. Dr Pastor also directed officials to switch on the lights on electricity poles and to display the model of the water-hut at the fair office. Directives were issued for barricading towards the banks of river on the land allotted to saints at Siddhawat area where the water level of Kshipra is deep. DISCOM was told to complete electrification of the entire area by January 15. Load assessment of the power distribution should be done. It was told that liaisoning officers will be appointed area wise. They would be allotted 4 or 5 plots for liaisoning. They will collect the details of the activities done on those plots during 3 days. It would help in planning of the arrangements. Dr Pastor also told that owners and directors of hotels, lodges and restaurants would have to follow the security measures compulsorily. They should be equipped with fire extinguishers and safety measures for prevention from short circuit. They would lose their license in case of not following the measures. Dutta Akhada Zonal Magistrate Santosh Verma told that 1786 employees would be deployed at the zone. 800 plots have been allotted in the zone. There are 1708 plots in all. 161 water-huts will be established. Dr Pastor asked officials to overcome the loopholes of the zone plans. Zonal Magistrates were asked to make daily plan to ensure works in different areas to ensure the completion of the projects within the deadline. IG V Madhukumar, DIG Rakesh Gupta, Collector Kavindra Kiyawat, Fair Officer Avinash Lavania and others were present.
