OUR STAFF REPORTER Indore An upset Swami Vishnuprapannacharya Maharaj, the Peetheswar of famous Nagoria Peeth, offered to quit as head of the Peeth, on the occasion of Ramanuj Jayanti.
When he met devotees on Friday afternoon, he cou
ld not control his emotions over problems being created by the board of trustees of the temple. Without naming anyone or even pointing to the Board of Trustees, he said that he had been incharge of the Peeth for the last 12 years and every day is fraught with problems of one kind or another.
‘When some problems are solved in the night, he wakes up in the morning to find new ones,’said the Peetheswar.
The Swamiji said when he was asked to take charge, he was assured that problems would be gone within months but even after years, theres no end to problems. He said that he had enough of the management and its high time, the Board of Trustees should choose another alt145 suitablealt39candidate.
The seer said he lacked the skill to be in- charge of the Peeth and ask that he was unable to mould himself in respect of responsibility given to him.
Becoming emotional, he said that when Acharya Shrinivasacharya was incharge of the peeth, if any problem arose, he would call up his grandmother and ask her whether she had any dream and she would say alt145 yesalt39. Her dreams always turned out to be true. Through these dreams, the acharya would find solution to the problem.
After taking charge, he used to call her and asked whether she had any dream and she would say alt145 yesalt39and would also explain that the dream was—alt145 You leave everything and come to heralt39. With tears welling in his eyes, he said that the grandmother passed away while waiting for him to return and he could not even see her for one last time. The seer further said that every two years, he tried to go home for two days, but no sooner did he leave the Peeth, some problems would crop up and he was forced to return.
Devotees too cried Tears also welled in the eyes of devotees during the emotional statement given by the Acharya. They thronged there to mark the Ramanuj Jayanti. However, when some devotees tried to empathise, the Acharya stopped them and simply said, alt145 enough is enoughalt39. Swami Shyamnarayanarchya Maharaj from Khorsa, Gujarat also tried to normalise the situation, but he too blurted that gold, silver and assets wonalt39t help in anyway. ‘If people want them badly, they could take them away, but his request was to maintain the system and not allow it collapse.’
