TWO- DAY SEMINAR FOR BCCI CURATORS

MUMBAI: The BCCI has organised a two- day seminar for its curators, which will be held at the Cricket Centre here starting today. The seminar will be conducted by Venkat Sundaram, chairman, Ground and Pitches Committee, Indian Cricket Board.

p> Members of the Ground and Pitches Committee, curators attached to the affiliated units of the BCCI, and senior office- bearers of the Board, will attend the seminar.

A special invitee will be Dr Namita Banyal of the Indian Agricultural Research Institute. Banyal will talk about Grass Management.

Manufacturers of ground- related equipment will also be a part of the seminar.

Indusind score two wins MUMBAI: Indusind Bank scored two handsome wins on the opening day of the Standard Chartered Corporate Soccer 5s 2012, an intercorporate soccer championship, played under floodlights at the Western Railway Sports Stadium, Mahalxmi. They defeated AGS 4- 0 and BCG 6- 0. In an exciting and close encounter, HDFC Life overcame SBI Caps 2- 1. This was second defeat for SBI Caps as they also lost 0- 3 to IDFC. ( FPJ Sports Desk)
