The tiger moving in the jungles of Kaliasot and Kerva is giving sleepless nights to the forest officials.

They have to keep round- the- clock vigil to ensure his security as well as the safety of the

villagers.

Earlier there were reports that the tiger had moved towards Ratapani sanctuary, but according to forest officials, he is yet to reach there.

” The tiger has not returned to Ratapani sanctuary rather he is somewhere in the woods of Kaliasot and Kerva. However he did not make any fresh kill,” said conservator of forest, Kamlesh.

When asked if there is any plan to make fencing to stop the tiger coming out of the woods, Kamlesh replied in affirmative.

It seems that this young tiger is enjoying stay in the jungles of Kaliasot and Kerva. There are chances that he may be trying to create his territory in this specific part of the forest which is connected with Ratapani sanctuary. Virtually he had strayed from Ratapani sanctuary which is having a sizeable population of the feline. The news that the tiger is present somewhere in jungles of Kaliasot and Kerva area has left people living in the villages situated in and around the forests perturbed. So far the tiger has not attacked anyone but its presence sends shivers down the spine of the villagers.
