Ujjain: Divisional Commissioner ( DC) AK Pandey has suspended three officials for dereliction of election duty. Deputy engineer of Rural Engineering Service, Subdivision Shajapur, Manisha Malviya was suspended with immediate effect for negligence in election works and misbehaving with senior officials.
Malviya was assigned a task of getting electronics voting machines’ scrutiny as per constituencies by the nodal officer.
She remained absent at Shajapur College on October 10 on the day the machines were to be marked. She even refused to talk on phone and misbehaved with the seniors.
Likewise, Pandey also suspended incharge labour officer Shajapur RK Dikshit and incharge principal Manisha Navab for dereliction of duty during the elections. Dikshit was assigned to perform duty at the district- level control room between 10 pm and 8 am. He remained absent from the duty without seeking authoritative permission. Incharge principal of Government Maharani Lakshmibai Girls College Shajapur, Manisha Navab was suspended for violating Model Code of Conduct.
