Ujjain : Ali Asgar also known as Dadi of the Comdedy Nights with Kapil left no piece unturned to tickle the funny bone of the denizens at the 45th Tepa Sammelan, organised on the Kalidas Sanskrit Academy premises, here on Tuesday night.
Ali Asgar was awarded Tepa Samman-2015 which is given in memory of late Lala Amarnath. As soon as Asgar appeared on the stage in his traditional attire of Dadi the whole auditorium was filled with cheers. Once again, keeping her style Dadi gave a kiss to the founder president of Tepa, Dr Shiv Sharma.
Dadi compared the promises of Politicos to that of person crazy in love, as both of them forget the promises they made, once they achieve their target. Dr Shiv Sharma said the Tepa Sammelan this year is the Jhadu Ponchha Tepa Sammelan, and with keeping our neighboring’s clean, one also needs to clear malefic intentions from his mind and keep it clean. The guests were given specific mocking outfits to wear on the occasion.
The programme started with special Tepa welcome song directed by Harish Potdar. Poets Surendra Yadavendra, Saand Narsinghpuri, Tarun Jain, Romesh Joshi and Alok Gupta were also awarded on the occasion. Former Member of Parliament Sajjan Singh Verma, MLA Mohan Yadav, Alok Gupta and Dr Harish Kumar Singh were present. Dinesh Diggaj was the anchorman of the programme.
