Mumbai The Tata Group Innovation Forum ( TGIF) felicitated and recognised 71 Tata Group companies for their vital technological and innovative contribution to the progress of the parent company.
The awards were given under three cat
egories i. e.
alt39 Promising Innovationsalt39, alt39 Leading Edgealt39 and alt39 Dare To Tryalt39. The first category received 1060 entries and companies like JLR and Tata Steel Europe received the award, while Tata Technologies and Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited won the award under the subcategories of service innovations and support process innovations respectively.
The Tata Chemicals and Tata Steel Europe received the awards in core process innovation category.
TGIF received a total of 2,800 entries. From India, there were 59 Tata companies and from overseas, 12 companies participated in the regional rounds of Tata Innovista 2012 to qualify for the global round.
